Questions
  • What insurance cover does Dorset Heritage have?
Dorset Heritage Ltd is comprehensively insured for public, product and employer liability, giving our customers peace of mind. Our current insurance policy is underwritten by Towergate.
  • How do I know my timber windows will not rot?
The materials Dorset Heritage use are dependent on specification, but as standard we use top quality materials. The timber we use as standard for exterior work, such as making windows, is Accoya, which is gauranteed against rot for 50 years, and is more dimensionally stable even than teak. We source glazing products usually from Pilkington Glass, who offer warranties on their products. We are happy to discuss details of all materials with our clients on individual projects to ensure the specification is agreed and understood.
  • Do you have a Health & Safety Policy?
Yes, Dorset Heritage Ltd has a Health and Safety Policy which is reviewed regularly. All members of our team are regularly updated with our policy to ensure understanding. Risk Asseessments are carried out prior to the commencement of work to minimise the risk to our customers, their families or employees, the public. and our employees.
  • Do I need Planning Consent?
We are happy to advise you on the need for Planning Consent or Listed Building Consent, and if you wish, manage the whole process for you, from pre-application advice, full application and negotiations, to gaining the required consent. It is important to know that any alterations to listed buildings require consent from the Lacal Authority, even changing the colour of your paint!! But the application is free.

Questions Asked by Our Customers... ???

What Our Customers Say....

The windows are fabulous! They look fantastic... We wondered whether you would be willing to consider all the other windows and doors in the house and if you would like to take this on?

Having seen what you've done, and the fact that we have built a good working relationship, we wouldn't contemplate having any another company undertake this project.

Dr & Mrs Anders

Affpuddle, Dorset

Thank you so much for doing the windows at 27B. They are really good and I am pleased that we waited for you to do them. Your chaps were really good too and we thank them for getting on with the job without being intrusive. It was all really nice and best of all the windows are lovely.

This is to say thanks for the hard work your team put in and how pleased we are with the result.

Mr & Mrs Elwas
